About the Foundation

The mission of the Toshima Mirai Cultural Foundation, a public-interest foundation, is to expand creative cultural and artistic activities in order to make Toshima a cultural city of collaboration and co-creation where various people can coexist and share responsibilities, as well as to encourage projects related to the promotion of community development and urban renewal activities and, through these projects, to contribute to the enrichment of residents' lives and the formation of a vibrant local community.

Establishment April 1985: The organization is established as the Toshima Community Development Corporation.
April 2005: The organization's name is changed to the Toshima Mirai Cultural Foundation.
April 2011: The organization becomes a public-interest foundation.
